Spring Bike Ride

SPRING_Bike_Ride_Plain

Hey Guys, it’s Spring! The snow has gone (well, almost!). It’s time to pull out that bike, grease the chain, and get ready for a ride. Join REAL MEN Sunday, April 13th @2:30PM. We’ll be meeting at Williams (at Pier 8) and going for a leisurely waterfront ride to Dundas and back. This 25km route will also include a mid-ride stop at Cafe Domestique, where you can purchase lattes, cappuccinos and lunch.

It’s going to be a great afternoon on this scenic ride on a waterfront trail with a great pit stop at this cycling-themed cafe in downtown Dundas.

Snow Stops Biking!

DSCN0385

A great place to go biking is Sauble Beach, Southampton, and along the bay to Oliphant and Red Bay. Just don’t try it this winter! Sauble Beach area has been hit hard and the pictures here show 6-9 feet walls of snow.

All along the beach front there is a continuous wall of snow. People have been writing Olympic messages, and someone has even measured it out.

saubleThe Beach Access sign was almost entirely covered, at 8ft high. No biking for now, but the snowmobilers were loving it.

Bikes n’ Burgers

Great day. Great ride. Great burgers. This 50km round trip ride from Hamilton to Lynden was a blast. Lots of riders with different bikes and experience, all trekking out to the Wood’s Farm. Drink and burgers were waiting and after we fueled up, we headed back to Hamilton. The ride back was easy after a burger or two, but the guy that ate 4 was struggling!
