Fall is over and winter is upon us. For most people, this means the fishing season is probably done. I’m here to tell you  that it’s not! Some of the best fishing happens now! A number of species are fattening up for the winter. This means they are hungry and willing to eat a nice sized offering you present them. Walleye, Crappie, and Perch come to mind.

Does the thought of winter with snow and ice get you feeling blue? That used to be me, but then I tried Ice Fishing! That’s right, standing on frozen water, fishing through a small hole… LOL. Instantly catching fish with friends and family took all the doldrums of a long winter away and brought with it the excitement to bring on the cold and ice for a fun winter of ice fishing. If you’ve never tried it, I encourage you to give it a try.
